Department of Chemical Engineering

The Chemical Engineering Department was established in the beginning of 1981 in the College of Engineering in order to keep pace with the technological development in the world of industry and the need for a specialized cadre in chemical engineering to contribute to the provision of engineers specialized in the field of designing chemical plants and oil refineries in addition to the exploitation of current and future energy sources and the treatment of industrial waste and its removal and mineral protection from corrosion and desalination of water. The faculty staff consists of 18 members, and the department includes 360 male and female students in undergraduate studies.
