Summer Training Instructions for Iraqi University Students

 

First

Training students during the summer vacation is considered one of the forms of training aimed at introducing students to the reality of the practical environment and what it requires of diligence and discipline. On the other hand, it provides an opportunity for public and private sector institutions to learn about the students' potential and skills. Summer training is intended for practical application in the actual fields of work in the state departments and the socialist, mixed and private sectors in order for the student to practice it as part of the practical life of his scientific specialization.

Secondly

The faculties covered by the training manage this process through:

First - The training unit at the college level is managed by a teacher and an appropriate administrative staff works with him to carry out training tasks throughout the academic year and undertakes the following:

A- Approving the final versions of the training curricula submitted by the scientific departments.

B - Take what is necessary to open the training sites to provide training opportunities there.

C - Issuing orders to distribute students and assigning scientific supervisors to their training sites.

D - General supervision of the training committees in the scientific departments.

E - Preparing the final report in the college.

Second - The training committee is formed in the scientific department headed by the head of the concerned department or his representative

 

Third

The training in the third stage takes place for a period of (30) thirty days during the summer vacation, and it may be for a period of (60) sixty days if the specialization needs to do so. In this case, the training is in the second and third years at the rate of (30) thirty days for each year.

 

Fourthly

Training is evaluated as follows: First - Summer training is evaluated according to the training form approved by the university as follows:

A- Field evaluation (30%) thirty percent for the scientific supervisor and (30%) thirty percent for the practical supervisor.

B - Academic evaluation: (40%) forty percent of the report submitted by the trainee student to the training committee in the department after discussion.

C- The degree of appraisal of the trainee's success shall be no less than (50%) fifty percent of his total score.

D - In the event that the student does not obtain the required degree of success, he is not considered to have completed the training, and he must repeat it in the following year, according to the examination instructions.
