The College of Engineering at the University of Basra, represented by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid, and the assistants, received a committee sent by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to review the requirements for opening the Mechatronics Engineering Department, which the college is preparing to add to its eight departments because of its importance in supplying the labor market with graduates, as it praised The committee praised the college’s preparations for the opening of this department and appreciated the development taking place in the college, praising its scientific and urban achievements. For his part, the Dean of the College of Engineering thanked the ministerial committee for bearing the trouble and travel troubles. The Ministry, as we used to know, is very keen to support all universities in full swing, and this has been crowned with impressive successes, the most recent of which is the entry of a number of Iraqi universities into international classifications.
