a master’s thesis in the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah discussing (Achieving Compound Treatment of Wastewater Using Zeolite and Sequence Flow Reactor)
The thesis presented by the student Elham Mohsen Hassan dealt with selection of raw sewage water from the main entrance to the sewage treatment plant at the University of Basrah, Karmat Ali, where the system was operated for 12 hours in four modes
The first operational mode is the treatment of raw wastewater using the SBR system only, the second operational mode is the treatment of raw wastewater using the combined treatment of SBR and zeolite coagulation, the third operational mode used Raw wastewater treatment using only zeolith coagulation,
The fourth operational mode is the treatment of raw wastewater using the combined treatment of zeolite coagulant and the SBR system.
The thesis aims to examine the possibility of using zeolite as an additional treatment, whether it is a treatment before or after biological treatment.
The thesis concluded that coagulation by zeolite and SBR treatment are the best methods of wastewater treatment due to achieving most of the permissible limits for all standard studies criteria.
