The College of Engineering at the University of Basra held a memorial ceremony for the soul of the late student Shawqi Yaqoub Youssef, a student in the Department of Materials Engineering, the second stage, evening study, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid, a number of department teachers, and a group of students.
The ceremony included the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha, and speeches praising the virtues of the deceased. The words unanimously agreed on what the deceased was known for, such as his kindness and broad-mindedness.
