The College of Engineering at the University of Basra received an academic delegation from the Iranian Tarbiat Modarresi University as part of the joint scientific and cultural cooperation between the two universities.

The visit was sponsored by the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazim, and supervised by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid. The two sides discussed prospects for developing scientific relations and exchanging academic expertise in the fields of engineering and scientific research.

The meeting included discussions on mechanisms for activating joint research projects, the possibility of holding mutual workshops and training courses, and the development of a future plan to enhance the exchange of professors and students, which would contribute to supporting the educational process and raising the level of regional and international cooperation at the University of Basra.

The Iranian delegation affirmed its keenness to expand areas of cooperation, while the College of Engineering expressed its willingness to utilize its scientific and research capabilities to serve this fruitful academic partnership.

This visit comes in line with the University of Basra's orientation towards openness to regional and international universities, thus enhancing its scientific and research standing.
