The College of Engineering at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Science Gardens Department/Riyada Division, held an introductory workshop on the Riyada Initiative.

The workshop covered the initiative's objectives, application procedures, and how to benefit from it. The Riyada Initiative is one of the initiatives launched by the Iraqi government three years ago to support youth and finance small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by providing loans to projects with the aim of encouraging entrepreneurship and achieving economic development.

Dr. Hassan Naama presented at the workshop, outlining the initiative's key aspects, loan requirements, and opportunities for transforming ideas into successful projects.
