The College of Engineering at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Student Branch of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the Mishwar Summer Training Foundation, held a distinguished workshop entitled "Startup Exchange Program." This workshop is part of the college's ongoing efforts to prepare students academically and professionally and connect them with the demands of the job market.

The workshop aimed to highlight the mechanisms for linking academic curricula with practical experience by emphasizing the importance of acquiring applied skills alongside theoretical knowledge. This contributes to preparing students capable of keeping pace with the rapid developments in various engineering sectors.

The workshop also focused on how to best prepare for upcoming summer training opportunities. It provided practical guidance on preparing a professional resume, application procedures for training programs, and the requirements of companies and institutions. In addition, it showcased real-world experiences that contribute to boosting students' self-confidence and enabling them to compete in real-world work environments.

The organizers emphasized that holding such events comes within the framework of the College of Engineering's keenness to support and prepare students for the labor market, and to strengthen the partnership between academic institutions and professional and training bodies, in order to achieve integration between the theoretical and applied aspects and enhance the chances of graduates' future success.
