Within the memorandum of understanding signed between Basrah University and Basra Gas Company, the first students of the first and second stages of electrical, mechanical and chemical engineering departments in Marla Hall were honored by Basra Gas Company. About the College of Engineering Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Maath Mohammad Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs and Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Wahed Al-Hajjaj Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering

The honor came in order to create a spirit of competition among the students and to take care of the first students by the company for the purpose of qualifying them to work in the future within the company's staff.
