The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah held a panel discussion entitled (Psychological pressures faced by university students and how to deal with them).
The symposium presented by the psychological researcher Safaa Shaaban, one of the postgraduate students at the College of Education for Human Sciences, dealt with Psychological pressures facing female students, how to deal with them, ways to get rid of them, and link them to the reality of childhood, as presented by the Assist. Prof. Dr. Khayriyah Abdul Jalil Muhammad Ali, a teacher at the College of Engineering, a lecture on psychological stress and the definition of psychological stress and the verses in the Holy Qur’an for this topic.
This symposium aims to identify the psychological pressures faced by female students at the university, in addition to identifying its sources and the variables that affect them.
The symposium was attended by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ramzy Salim Ali, who praised the efforts of the lecturers and the valuable lectures presented in this symposium. The symposium recommended the necessity for university officials to conduct counseling programs for students to increase their awareness of psychological stress and related factors.
