Dean's Cup Chess Championship

The Student Activities Division of the College of Engineering, in cooperation with the Iraqi Chess Federation, Basrah Branch, organized the Dean’s Chess Championship with the participation of 60 students, for the period 28-29/11/2021. The tournament was opened by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ramzy Salim Ali.

The first round of this tournament was launched with the participation of students, through which we seek to diversify the activities of this academic year and to involve a larger number of college students.
While Mr. Khaled Saleh, President of the Chess Federation, Basrah Branch, said, “We provided the tournament with accredited referees from the Chess Federation for the technical levels located in the College of Engineering. There are a number of club players, as well as the student Sally Abbas, who has the title of Iraq Women’s Champion for the year 2020.
