Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ramzy Salim Ali, the Deanship of the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah organized its correction conference for the year 2019/2020_ 2020/2021 and in the presence of the assistant dean for scientific and administrative affairs, college, department heads and college members. The conference began with a speech by the Dean, during which he explained the aim of the conference is to achieve the college's self-evaluation, as it is a cornerstone for raising the scientific level to achieve total quality. The conference also seeks to uncover the most important obstacles and find successful solutions to them.

The conference dealt with two parts, The scientific part presented by the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs (Assist. Prof. Dr. Haider Maath Mohammad, who gave a detailed explanation of the conference, which included a research approach in which a set of activities were presented and discussed academic activities that seeks to achieve the goal of the conference and is reflected in evaluating the scientific process of our college in the future by standing on the most important positive indicators of that process and the most important distinguished activities in the college from the calendar year and comparing them with its achievements in the previous year in order to work on developing those indicators for the better.

The second part is the financial and administrative part, which was explained by the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Musab Adel Ali, where he gave a detailed explanation about the infrastructure, the financial, organizational, and service aspects, as well as to the most important achievements of the field college for the college building and its development, including green spaces, halls and laboratories.

The conference aims to review the scientific and administrative process of the college for the past two years, starting with the success rates and the registration of research and its publication on international websites.
