a doctoral thesis at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah discussing (the analysis of the specific elements of breakwaters used to reduce the effect of vibrations generated by the movement of trains)

The thesis presented by the student Hassan Abdel Hadi Ajel dealt with two parts. In the first part of the thesis, the damping of harmonic load vibrations emitted by mechanical vibrators was studied experimentally. The vertical components of the velocity of soil particles were measured by geophones at different locations.

From the source, where varied frequencies of natural conditions were born. In the second part, the finite element method was used to represent the soil vibration behavior due to the Basrah train.

Baghdad for travelers and its effect on a targeted building in Al-Maqal neighborhood in Basrah city.

The thesis aims to analyze the specific elements of breakwaters used to reduce the effect of vibrations generated by the movement of trains

The factorial study concluded a significant effect of trench work, as the sifting ability near the trench increased according to the increase in depth. The vibration suppression was analyzed using single and double trench systems filled with a mixture with a rubber content. The results of both experimental and numerical studies were based on the sifting effectiveness of the proposed dictation mixture and its feasibility from the economic point of view.
