a master’s thesis at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah discussing (a proposal for a solution to the problems of monitoring and alerting risks to the electrical distribution system using the Internet of Things)

The thesis presented by the student Jumana Amer Hassan dealt with a system based on modern internet technology in remote monitoring and control systems, which makes dealing with life requirements more flexible, and the possibility of reducing the time factor, and adding comfort and safety.

The thesis aims to build a system consisting of a number of network-connected nodes, including a set of sensors and devices in which changes and readings have an impact on the operation of electrical systems.

The thesis concluded that the monitoring platform was developed in the second phase of the project using a free global web server to solve the problems of the limited local network. In addition, the system was designed using an open source platform and compared the advantages and differences between the site and the ready platform.
