A doctoral thesis at the University of Basrah discussing (theoretical and experimental study of water generation from the atmosphere)
a doctoral thesis at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah discussing (a theoretical and experimental study for the generation of water from the atmosphere using a refrigeration unit)
The thesis submitted by the student, Mohammad Radhi Khanouba, dealt with a comprehensive study (experimental, theoretical and numerical), and it was divided into three models, including the first model.
Design a conditioning model that removes moisture, produces and collects water, and purifies the air. The device is based on the principle of the normal compression refrigeration cycle and works with Freon 22 gas. The experiment was conducted in the city of Basrah.
As for the second model
A device was designed and built based on the normal compressor refrigeration cycle, operating on Freon-134 gas. A device was manufactured through which the air passes through the evaporator to condense the air and then produce water only and the third model
A laboratory model based on the principle of thermoelectric with solar energy as the power source for the system. has been done
The experiment was conducted in the city of Basrah, and a theoretical study was conducted by (ANSYS/FLUENT) program to verify
and study more cases in a short time and at a free cost.

The thesis concluded that production is increased with increasing humidity and temperature and decreasing
speeds and increased hours of use in addition to the capacity of the model space.
In addition to producing water, then deducing that the first model can be used by adapting the environment
surrounding us and improve the ventilation process for human thermal comfort.
