College of Engineering holds the Chess Departments Championship
The Student Activities Unit in the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah held the Summer Chess Championship for the departments of the College of Engineering in the student club in a league system.
 Mr. Walid Muhammad, Student Activities Officer, said that this tournament is the conclusion of the student activities for this year, which resulted in the team of the Chemical Engineering Department winning the first place, and the second place for the team of the Computer Engineering Department, the third place for the Civil Engineering Department, and the fourth place for the Architectural Engineering Department, medals were distributed to the participants. By Dr. Hassanien, a teacher in Department of Computer Engineering. Cups and shields will also be distributed at the final festival of student activities.
