Published by Prof. Fadhel Rahma Taher and Prof. Dr. Ghaidaa Abdul-Razzaq Al-Suhail, two teaching staff members at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah and a postgraduate student, Maryam Hussein Abed, in cooperation with researchers from Edinburgh Napier University - Britain, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University - Iraq, King Khalid University - Saudi Arabia, and Petrochina company in Iraq, a scientific research in Remote Sensing magazine Which is considered one of the reputable scientific journals with an impact factor of IF=5.349 in the MDPI Publishing House
titled ( Synchronization of Monostatic Radar Using a time-delayed Chaos-Based FM waveform) .
The research includes a proposal for a new 0.3 GHz monostable chaotic radar based on time delay to generate and manipulate Frequency Modulated (FM)-frequency modulation.
The design objective of this radar is to extract high precision information from targets where the correct value of the loop gain (G) has been carefully tuned in the phase locking loop (PLL) in order to recover the signal more reliably. In this system, PLL synchronization and radar correlation are sufficient for echo signal recovery and target detection.
