The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah held a lecture on (Drugs and their Effects on Society) in cooperation with the Basrah Police Directorate / Advanced Training Center in the South

In the presence of the Dean of Talal Ali Hussein's Corner, the Commander of the Advanced Training Center, and the Jurist, Ali Jihad Hussein

The lecture, presented by Lieutenant Colonel Fouad Muhsir Jassim, a specialist in narcotics and psychotropic substances, dealt with several axes, including:

Drugs from the Qur’anic perspective, drugs from a numerical, relative and legal perspective, the most common drugs in Iraq, the region and the world, the psychological and physical dangers of drugs on the body, in addition to knowing the reasons for human drug abuse, including taking drugs without consulting a doctor, the art of influencing and promoting drugs by gangs, psychological weakness In the face of problems, emptiness, weakness of faith, companionship of bad friends, love of experience, extravagance and luxury, neglect of education and family care

The aim of the lecture is to prevent drugs and ways to treat them and to know the causes that lead to falling into it
