The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Chinese Petroleum Company, organized a symposium on (the Third Employment Forum of the Chinese Company CPECC)

The symposium aims to employ a number of graduates of the College of Engineering for the year 2019, to attract young graduates because they have energies and active movement, reduce unemployed graduate students, in addition to seeing the work and activity of the Chinese Petroleum Company CPECC

The symposium included an introduction to the Chinese company, where the Director of the Human Resources Department "Lee Jun"

The company is one of the largest international companies in the field of petroleum construction engineering in the world and has several branches in Iraq, adding that the company uses Iraqi labor because it does not need to obtain a visa for the purpose of their entry to Iraq

Jan noted that the process of accepting students will include only qualified students who will pass the test. Regarding salaries and housing for students, he stated that all Iraqi employees, not the students who will be employed, have the option to either stay in the company and in turn provide them with food, housing, transportation from the site to the company or daily drop off, and the company provides them with transportation It remains according to the student’s desire to work. The company will provide him with all the other needs. He said that the company, after training the students to work in a practical way, will send them as a mission to the UAE in Abu Dhabi for training for a period of three months.

It is worth noting that during the seminar, the students were tested and then interviewed at the College of Engineering
