Master's thesis at the University of Basrah discussing (design and manufacture of a smart suspension system)

I discussed a master’s thesis at the College of Engineering at the University of Basra (design and manufacture of a smart suspension system)

The message presented by the student Ahmed Jabbar Hassan included the representation of this design using the representative Matlab environment after the mathematical model was derived. The device was built in a practical way, including all the details that were designed. This system needs a catalyst unit to generate the input, then a catalyst was built using the LPD, and it can be programmed to form different inputs. The practical properties were calculated and entered into the model in the Matlab environment.

The thesis aims to design and manufacture a smart suspension system, where a new suspension system has been designed in a similar way to the suspension system in vehicles. This system has the ability to change most of its properties such as stiffness, damping coefficient, input form

The thesis concluded by comparing the practical results with the results of the representation after using two types of inputs to stimulate the systems (theoretical and practical), sine wave and triangular pulse.

Where the highest value of the displacement decreased by 97.32% and 74.5%, theoretically and practically, respectively in the case of the sine wave, while this decrease in the highest value of the displacement decreased to 56% and 47.33%, respectively, in the case of the triangular pulse.
