A workshop at the College of Engineering, University of Basrah

The International Society of Petroleum Engineers, University of Basrah Branch, with the support of the College of Engineering, University of Basra and the International Society of Petroleum Engineers, held a workshop entitled (Formation Evaluation and Drilling Problems)

The lecturer, Ahmed Ali Shanshul, teaching at the College of Engineering, University of Basra, mentioned in the workshop an introduction to the association as the largest association that includes engineers and researchers in the oil and gas industry in various countries of the world. There are many events and activities held in coordination with the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah, and that the association was officially established in 1957 as one of the branches of the American Institute of Mining Engineers. Some of the benefits of membership in the association are shown, including participation in training courses in oil engineering disciplines, participation in meetings and events held by the association. Locally or internationally, attending international and local conferences, obtaining an internationally recognized certificate, adding the conditions for joining the association, that the field of work of persons is related to the oil industry and possesses any of the following.

A university degree in engineering, basic or applied sciences, or a diploma graduate, a two-year certificate in engineering or science disciplines, or a four-year certificate in any of the other non-engineering or scientific disciplines
