A master's thesis at the University of Basrah discusses (an evaporative cooler integrated with a refrigeration unit to produce water and improve the performance of the air cooling system)

I discussed a master's thesis at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah

The message, which was entitled (Evaporative cooler integrated with the refrigeration unit to produce water and improve the performance of the air cooling system) included

For the student,Mohamed Qassem Shaheen

The message aims to improve the performance of the evaporative air cooler and reduce the moisture content in the outside air, as well as to produce fresh water

The thesis discussed a theoretical and scientific study of a hybrid system that combined a refrigeration unit and an evaporative air cooling system

The heat and mass are transferred to the wet plates in the air cooler and the evaporator of the refrigeration unit under filtering and insulation, which suits the climatic conditions in Basra

The evaporative air cooler used in the scientific aspect where the volumetric flow rate of the fluid equals (cfm2061) with dimensions (0.85,0.72,0.72 m) and it has a choice of two air speeds (low and high)

Experimental results showed a decrease in the external temperature by (1-3) degrees Celsius, as well as an increase in fresh water production in the event of an increase in humidity and relative humidity and a decrease in the temperature of the evaporator coil. The comparison between the scientific and theoretical committees showed good agreement.
