PhD thesis at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah (Analysis of Layered Composite Structures Steel - Concrete - Steel)

Research for a doctoral thesis in the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah (Analysis of Layered Structured Composite Structures Steel - Concrete - Steel) for the student Haider Abdul Hadi Abdul Razzaq

The thesis dealt with the study of the static behavior of multi-layered beams made of steel-concrete steel, which consists of a natural concrete core confined to two steel plates.

The thrust samples with different parameters are selected to obtain direct shear strength for the proposed shear conductors. The shear force of the shear conductors is used to design the cast beams when six types of failures are observed as follows ( yield in shear conductors, failure of concrete bearing, torsion of steel plates, shear conductors shear Crushing the concrete core in the loading and splitting area in the concrete

Experimental tests are carried out on six simple-support steel-concrete-steel beams under stable loading at three points. Experimental results show four types of failure: bending failure, shear conductors shearing, pulling shear conductors and torsion from the upper steel plate. Four techniques were also proposed to represent Interaction These techniques are thin layer technology, linear spring technology, non-linear spring technology and full interaction technology The linear spring technology gives results very close to the results of experimental tests with an average final load ratio of 0.98
