The importance of smart systems in human life is increasing, as it affects all areas of life, as these applications have entered the military and civil fields, in commerce and industry, and even inside the home. Therefore, the College of Engineering, believing in the necessity of introducing developments that could serve the country's progress, prepared a specialized workshop on smart technology, in cooperation with the Computer Machinery Association, Iraq chapter. This workshop will address several applications in the military field and will discuss how to smart protection of international land and sea borders and the so-called smart dust technology. In the field of trade, finance and contracting, it will deal with block chain systems and their uses. In the fields of industry and oil, there will be lectures on monitoring and checking pipes and modern technology in the field of robotics, or what is known as soft robots. The workshop will also address smart tracking systems and some medical applications that are concerned with human health and well-being.

The workshop will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018, and in the hall of Martyr Asaad Selim in the Halls Complex
