A scientific lecture at the University of Basrah on (plasma technology to dismantle the properties of carbon dioxide)

The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah held a scientific lecture on (plasma technology to dismantle the properties of carbon dioxide) and the lecture dealt with the lecturer, Dr. (Wassan Abdul Razzaq Wali) the use of carbon dioxide reduction technology currently can be divided into two methods based on physics and chemistry. For physics-based methods, carbon dioxide is captured and stored underground or under the sea bed using high pressure. From the point of view of equilibrium, the amount of carbon dioxide is not reduced. As for chemical methods, catalysts are used for conversion reactions, but the catalysts are very expensive and the reaction must be carried out under High temperature and high pressure environment, so a technology based on plasma is presented in order to dismantle carbon dioxide into fuel when molecules enter into electric fields ionize due to collision with accelerated electrons to generate different types such as atoms, electrons, ions and free radicals. A mixture of these types is plasma. The advantage is that it takes a short time to complete
