The Consulting Office at the College of Engineering held two training courses in cooperation with the Iraqi Accreditation Commission, two training courses entitled ISO- IEC 17025, Internal Audit). These two courses are considered part of the requirements of the aforementioned international standard for the accreditation of engineering testing laboratories, where the College of Engineering and its advisory office have started the process of obtaining international accreditation for its laboratories, which is granted by the Iraqi Accreditation Commission affiliated to the Ministry of Planning in order to develop and standardize the work of engineering examination laboratories, which in turn affects the quality and efficiency Examination and accuracy of laboratory results and have a significant impact on the quality of implementation of projects affiliated with state institutions and the private sector. Due to the university’s role in community service, the college has engaged engineering laboratories in the governorate to raise the level of competition in the labor market.
