Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Ramzy Salim Ali and Director of the Consulting Office, Assist. Prof. David Abd  Mohamed Jawad, and with the efforts of a specialized team from the College of Engineering headed by the Quality Assurance Division and the Mechanical Engineering Department. Assist. Prof. Dr. Hassanein Ibrahim Khalaf, Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Prof. Sarmad Abdullah Abbas, and Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, Dr. Asaad Abd Al-Sayed Abdullah and director of Laboratory of Mechanical Engineering Department Assist. Prof. Dr. Mortadha Abbas Jabbar The College of Engineering renewed the accredited accreditation certificate ISO17025: 2017 boards from 3/8/2022 to 2/8/2024, where a full field of mechanical engineering specializations was expanded to include full, external inspection, by oil companies.
Note that the Director General of the Iraqi Accreditation Authority, Dr. Muhammad Latif Ahmed, praised the efforts made by the University of Basrah / College of Engineering to obtain accreditation and its commitment to renew the accreditation within the specified period.
