Prof. Dr. Saleh Issa Khasaf, a lecturer at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with postgraduate student Nour Al-Huda Adnan Mohsen, published research in the Polish Journal of Water and Land Development

Entitled (Studying the in situ erosion properties of the overlap between the shoulders of bridges and two forms of abutments)
The research included conducting a laboratory study of the overlap between the shoulders of bridges perpendicular to the watercourse with two forms of supports with different hydraulic conditions and with different distances between the shoulder and the support.
