The Iraqi Journal of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, which is issued by the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah, was accepted into Scopus. The Advisory Board for Content Selection (CSAB) SCOPUS reviewed the request submitted by the College of Engineering to accept the journal within Scopus, and it was approved because it covered all the requirements.
Where Prof. Dr. Moufid Turky Rashid, Head of the Electrical Engineering Department, confirmed that the journal entered Scopus after a great effort to provide all the requirements and work that continued for years by improving the performance of the journal and improving its citation record.
Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Maath Mohammad, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, confirmed that this achievement is a qualitative and distinguished achievement for the College of Engineering and the University of Basrah. Ambition and work is underway to enter the second journal in the college, which is the Basrah Journal of Engineering Sciences within the Scopus.
The Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ramzy Salim Ali, praised this scientific achievement, which enhances the scientific and academic sobriety of the college in order to obtain programmatic accreditation for all departments of the College. He commended the efforts of the editorial staff in bringing this journal to this site and fulfilling all requirements.
