In order to achieve the goals of sustainable development, the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah organized a campaign to plant 50 palm trees of various types in various parts of the college to contribute to increasing the green area and because of its positive effects in improving the environment, reducing pollution, and giving an aesthetic character to the college.
This initiative aims to introduce the environmental importance of plant cultivation in general and palm trees in particular in improving and softening the surrounding atmosphere and reducing its pollution.
