The College of Engineering at the University of Basra holds an intellectual symposium for the Thaqalayn Cultural Center

The College of Engineering at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Holy Shrine of Hussein, represented by the Thaqalayn Cultural Center affiliated with the Department of Intellectual Affairs, held an intellectual guidance symposium, which is one of a series of symposiums held in all departments of the college. Today’s symposium was entitled (Knowledge, Worship, and Perfection).

The symposium, which was held in the Materials Engineering Department, included the presence of the Head of the Materials Engineering Department, Dr. Azzam Dawoud Hasan, and a number of the department’s students, where Mr. Faleh Al-Moussawi and Sheikh Ahmed Al-Halafi lectured. Mr. Faleh Al-Moussawi spoke about commitment to the teachings of Islamic Sharia and the encouragement of culture and knowledge, as the goal of creation is (knowledge). +Worship = perfection)
The symposium aims to educate students and guide them to reject some of the ideas issued to us by the West that affect moral values and the teachings of the true religion. They also gave a lecture on knowledge and worship.
Since knowledge alone is not enough, it must be accompanied by worship. We call on students to be imitators of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and his family. Then, after completing the lecture, the floor was opened for some questions from the students, and then the distinguished gentlemen presented a shield to the Head of the Materials Engineering Department.
