The College of Engineering at the University of Basra hosted a conference on the administrative and organizational structure and the plan followed by the Security Follow-up and Control Department for the calendar week. The conference included the implementation of an organizational plan under the direct supervision of the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Haider Khazal, as follows: A: Instructions to faculty and staff to commit to parking cars in the university’s garages. B: Placing “no parking” signs on the sides of the road. T: Placing significant signs that point to the university’s garages Th: Installing traffic speed bumps in order to force drivers to slow down and preserve the lives of our students. A: The follow-up department worked to spread throughout the sites at the university, in cooperation with the follow-up divisions in the colleges, directing vehicle drivers not to park in front of the college gates, and intensifying patrols by the follow-up department with traffic police, in order to force the teaching staff, employees, and car drivers to enter the garages, in the event of non-compliance. They are charged by traffic police with fines. H: To reduce the phenomenon of traffic in the opposite direction, the follow-up department installed fork traffic bumps to completely reduce this uncivilized phenomenon. At the same time, it is one of the cases that lead to traffic accidents inside the university and threaten the lives of employees, professors and students and expose them to danger
