Within the employment program of the College of Engineering at the University of Basra, the Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid, received a delegation from the Chinese Anton Oil Company, including the Director of Human Resources at the general headquarters in China, the Director of Administration and the Director of Human Resources at the company’s branch in Iraq. During the meeting, Discussing the development of a cooperation mechanism between the company and the college with regard to employing graduates and benefiting from local engineering competencies. The issue of the possibility of amending the college’s curricula to keep pace with the labor market and the requirements of foreign companies operating in Basra was also discussed.
The Chinese delegation praised the high academic level, competence and professionalism of the graduates of the College of Engineering at the University of Basra, stressing their desire to train and employ many of them and absorb them into the company’s staff in the near future and at the company’s multiple sites in Iraq. The meeting was attended by the Head of the Architectural Engineering Department, Dr. Hamid Hayab Samir.
