Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid, the College of Engineering at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the student branch of the International Society of Petroleum Engineers at the University of Basra, established a charity bazaar to support orphans. 
The bazaar included several items, including the sale of students’ products of art and food, the proceeds of which were allocated to bring joy and happiness to the hearts of orphans and the poor in Basra Governorate. The festival also witnessed the presence of a large number of students and university employees who expressed their happiness in participating in this important event.
