The College of Engineering, Basra University, conducted a test for the teaching competency of applicants for new appointments. Each of the applicants presented a specialized engineering lecture before the interview committee. It included the departments of civil and electrical engineering. Then, the Chairman and members of the examination committee explained the observations of each applicant to develop his performance capabilities and his ability to deliver the scientific material to the students. Each applicant's English language was also tested as one of the requirements for passing the test.
