A delegation of teachers from the College of Engineering, University of Basra, participated, represented by Prof. Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid, Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Munir Abdel Jalil Ismail, Dr. Ali Kamel Marzouk, Dr. Hamid Hayab Samir, Dr. Osama Jassem Naeem, Dr. Ammar Abdel Shahid, Dr. Farid Hamid, Dr. Haider Abdel Hassan, and Dr. Muhammad Nasser at the Third International Oil Conference: Waste Management in the Oil and Gas Industry at Koya University - 2024 in Iraqi Kurdistan, which was held for the period from April 28-30 and in the presence of a large number of researchers from inside and outside Iraq.
The conference discussed methods of treating and recycling oil waste to preserve the environment, in addition to treating drilling mud, spent drilling fluids, gas production, and oil filtering.
