The College of Engineering, University of Basra, in cooperation with the Seventh Brigade, Al-Bayna Cultural Center, held an awareness seminar entitled Resistance and the Pillars of the New World Order. The seminar, in which Dr. Muhammad Sadiq Al-Hashemi, Director of the Iraq Center for Strategic Studies, lectured, included addressing the concept of resistance and types of resistance. Dr. Al-Hashemi also addressed the life of the late Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and the great jihadist life that ended with martyrdom. Dr. Al-Hashemi explained that resistance is not only from a military or political aspect. By addressing the concept of resistance, we find that resistance is not limited to confronting enemies with weapons, but must be supported by knowledge and work so that all aspects are complete. For example, universities are considered one of the most important pillars of resistance by graduating students with scientific capabilities that contribute to the strength of the country. The seminar aims to introduce the attendees to the importance of resistance from all aspects. The ceremony was attended by figures from Basra Governorate and a large number of students.
