The College of Engineering at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Westbashron team, held a scientific and cultural symposium on the occasion of the anniversary of the martyrdom of Lady Fatima Al-Zahra, peace be upon her.

The symposium included reading verses from the Holy Quran by the reciter, Professor Muhammad Wasfi. The symposium, in which Mr. Musa Al-Ali from the State of Kuwait lectured, included addressing the life of Lady Zahra and her role in society at that time, asking every girl to go on and follow the example of Lady Zahra. He also answered the students' questions on several religious topics 
The symposium aims to shed light on the life of Lady Zahra and her great role in spreading Islam, her great wisdom and her role in society.
