The College of Engineering, University of Basra, held an introductory seminar for the University of Basra branch of the Society of Petroleum Engineers For first-year students in the Petroleum Engineering Department.
The seminar, in which Dr. Amani Jalil Al-Hussaini and members of the student branch lectured, included important topics and began by welcoming the attendees and defining what the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE - Society of Petroleum Engineers) and the role of the University of Basra student branch in the academic career of the Petroleum Engineering Department student. The seminar also praised the role played by members of this branch during the previous years since its establishment in 2018 until now, and how to join this organization and benefit from the free grant provided by Chevron to pay the university student's membership was explained.
In the end, the supervisor and members of the branch expressed their thanks to the college and the department for their continuous support for the student branch, and they also expressed their thanks to the honorable attendees.
