Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim, and under the supervision of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Khazal Mahbas, the University of Basra organized a workshop titled "The Scientific Plan for the Academic Year 2025-2026 and the Roadmap for Scientific Development" in the Martyr Dr. Asaad Salim Hall in the College of Engineering.

The workshop was presented by Dr. Haider Khazal Mahbas, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, who addressed the main themes of the university's scientific plan and the mechanisms for developing a clear roadmap for promoting scientific and research development, in line with academic quality requirements and international rankings.

The workshop aims to consolidate the principle of strategic planning in the educational process and achieve integration between colleges and research centers, contributing to raising the level of university performance and developing the academic and research environment at the University of Basra.
