
The College of Engineering at the University of Basra organized a scientific symposium titled "Digital Transformation," presented by the Dean of the College, Professor Mufid Turki Rashid.
The symposium was attended by department heads and a large number of students. The lecturer discussed the importance of digital transformation in developing academic and administrative performance within Iraqi universities and its role in keeping pace with global developments in higher education.
Dr. Mufid also discussed the HEPIC ministerial program launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, outlining its objectives to enhance universities' digital infrastructure and facilitate access to data and electronic services, thus enhancing the efficiency of educational institutions.
The symposium concluded with a discussion session with the attendees, during which ideas and proposals were exchanged regarding mechanisms for activating digital transformation initiatives within the college, in line with the Ministry's approach to smart universities.
