From Basra to China… College of Engineering Engineers Continue Their Training Journey with the China Petroleum Engineering and Construction Corporation (CPECC)

In an achievement that reflects the excellence and high competence of graduates from the College of Engineering at the University of Basra, a number of graduate engineers departed for the People's Republic of China after being officially accepted by the China Petroleum Engineering and Construction Corporation (CPECC) to complete their training and qualification program there.

This transfer comes after they completed the first phase of field training in Basra Governorate, implemented in cooperation between the college and the company as part of its programs to qualify young engineering cadres to work on oil and gas sector projects.

The training in China aims to deepen technical expertise and provide trainees with advanced skills in the fields of design, implementation, and project management, through direct exposure to the latest technologies and systems used by the company at its global sites and projects.

Professor Mufid Turki Rashid, Dean of the College of Engineering, praised this achievement, which represents the fruit of the college's efforts to strengthen partnerships with major international companies and prepare graduates for the job market. He emphasized that the success of its students in gaining acceptance into a reputable international company like CPECC is a source of pride for the college and the University of Basra.

For their part, the accepted engineers expressed their gratitude to the College of Engineering and the Chinese company for this distinguished opportunity, which will contribute to developing their professional capabilities and opening up promising future prospects for them in the engineering field.
