
The College of Engineering at the University of Basra, Department of Oil and Gas Engineering, organized a scientific seminar entitled "Drilling Practices" in cooperation with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). This seminar is part of the college's programs aimed at developing students' skills and connecting them with the oil and gas labor market.
The seminar was presented by Engineer Haider Kadhim, who reviewed the most prominent modern technologies in oil drilling operations and the stages of well preparation, as well as the field challenges facing engineers in this field, and the importance of applying safety and quality standards in all stages of work.
The seminar was attended by a large gathering of undergraduate students from the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering, and featured academic discussions that enriched the dialogue and contributed to the exchange of experiences among participants.
This event comes within the framework of the College of Engineering's efforts to enhance communication with international professional institutions and provide an educational environment that keeps pace with developments in the oil and energy sector.
