To keep pace with scientific and technological advancements, postgraduate students in the Civil Engineering Department, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Saleh Issa Khassaf, organized a seminar on "Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Hydraulic Structures and Water Resources." The lectures covered the following topics:
1. The use of artificial intelligence techniques in the management and operation of hydraulic structures (a case study of Iraqi dams).
2. The use of artificial intelligence in studying the impact of thermal change on water resources.
3. The use of artificial intelligence techniques in groundwater management.
4. The use of artificial intelligence techniques in surface water management.
5. The use of artificial intelligence for hydraulic and hydrological studies of oil reservoirs.
The seminar was enriched by the presentation of video clips and real-world case studies.
The supervising professor further enhanced the seminar with scientific discussions with the postgraduate students. He also commended the high academic level of the postgraduate students.
