The College of Engineering at the University of Basra held a meeting of the Industrial Council for the Department of Petroleum and Gas Engineering, with the participation of representatives from several international oil companies, with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the academic and industrial sectors.

The meeting discussed updating curricula to meet the demands of the labor market, reviewing training and employment opportunities for students and graduates, and supporting joint research projects.

Participants emphasized the importance of building strategic partnerships to prepare qualified engineering professionals who meet the needs of the local and global oil sector.
