The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah participated in the Iraqi-British Business Council (IBBC) conference, which was held with the participation of a select group of academics, experts, and representatives of Iraqi and British institutions. The conference aimed to enhance cooperation and partnerships in the fields of education, engineering, and institutional development.

The college's participation included several faculty members: Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Jalil Ismail, Dr. Haider Mahdi Layth, and Dr. Farid Hamid Majeed.

The participation of the College of Engineering representatives affirmed its active role in promoting international cooperation and developing academic and research programs. It also served to present the university's vision in the fields of engineering, energy, and infrastructure, and to open new avenues for coordination with international scientific institutions.
