The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah Concludes a Training Workshop on Well Performance Analysis

The Department of Petroleum and Gas Engineering at the College of Engineering, University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Student Branch of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), concluded a two-day training workshop entitled “Well Performance Analysis.” The workshop was attended by fourth-year students from the department.

During its two days, the workshop included scientific and practical lectures covering the fundamentals of oil well performance analysis, methods for evaluating productivity, and operational data analysis. Practical examples were also discussed to enhance students' applied understanding and connect theoretical aspects with practical realities.

The workshop lectures were presented by Engineer Wadah Laith, who enriched the workshop with specialized information and field experience. He also facilitated discussions and answered students' questions, contributing to the desired educational benefit.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the organizers emphasized the importance of continuing such training activities, given their active role in developing students' skills and preparing them for the job market. They commended the students' engagement and their eagerness to benefit from the workshop's scientific content.
