The College of Engineering at the University of Basra received an official delegation from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to enhance joint academic and scientific cooperation and support higher education and sustainable development programs.

During the visit, discussions focused on prospects for cooperation in engineering and scientific fields, particularly regarding support for research projects, development of educational infrastructure, and building academic capacity in accordance with UNESCO's international quality standards.

The Dean of the College emphasized its commitment to openness and cooperation with reputable international organizations, which contributes to raising the scientific and research standards of the College and strengthens the University of Basra's standing at both the regional and international levels.
