The College of Engineering at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Fajr Al-Amal student team, held a joyous celebration commemorating the birth of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance), amidst an atmosphere of faith, joy, and supplication.
The celebration included various segments, including welcoming speeches that emphasized the importance of commemorating religious occasions and their spiritual and humanitarian values, which strengthen hope and solidarity among students. There were also recitations and poems of praise that embodied the meanings of positive anticipation and good deeds. The event also featured an interactive cultural competition that explored the life of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance) and the concepts of anticipation and community building. The competition saw wide participation from students, and symbolic prizes were distributed to the winners to encourage them and motivate their active participation.
The college deanship affirmed its support for purposeful student initiatives that contribute to strengthening cultural and religious identity within the university campus, praising the role of the Fajr Al-Amal student team in organizing the event and presenting it in a distinguished manner that reflects the spirit of cooperation and teamwork.
