A committee from the College of Engineering at the University of Basra participated in the teaching competency test for newly appointed engineering graduates.

A specialized committee from the College of Engineering at the University of Basra, along with faculty members specializing in educational and psychological counseling, conducted the teaching competency test for newly appointed graduates in engineering disciplines at public and private colleges in Basra Governorate. The committee met at the Continuing Education Center in the Bab Al-Zubair Colleges Complex at 9:00 AM on Thursday, March 12, 2026, to interview five applicants who had completed a teaching methods course. Each applicant delivered a specialized engineering lecture demonstrating their academic abilities and their method of delivering the material to students. The test covered the disciplines of civil engineering, electrical engineering, and computer engineering. Following the lectures, the committee chair and members discussed each applicant's presentations to identify key areas that would enhance their skills and personality, focusing on their strengths and weaknesses according to the form prepared by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
